Edits that earned it.

A ledger of named engagements where the retouch did real work — higher conversion, fewer returns, faster shoots, listings that finally matched the product. 6 of 31 shown · ledger updates as projects close.

03 — From raw to retouched

One frame.
Four passes.

Scroll. Watch a single capture walk the road every edit travels — raw off the card, subject cut from the noise, dropped onto a clean plate, then color-matched and retouched. The pixels are the same. The craft stacks on top.

Pass 01 · Raw capture
Raw capture — straight off the card, busy plate, flat color, nothing committed.

04 — Process · One image, five steps

Cull the selects.

Before a pixel moves, we pick. Rate the take, kill the blinks and soft frames, and lock the hero. Editing the wrong frame beautifully is still the wrong frame.

"Keep the skin texture."— talent
"Warm, never orange."— brand

Develop the raw.

The negative before the retouch — white balance set, exposure recovered, lens corrected, highlights pulled back from clipping. Get the foundation right and every later pass is cheaper.

/ Step 02 · Develop

Retouch the skin.

Frequency separation, dodge and burn, stray hairs and dust — done by hand, never a blur slider. We keep pores and remove distractions. The face still reads like a person, just rested.

Grade the color.

Now the look. A grade is built — split tones, calibrated skin, a curve that sets the mood. One master grade, then variants per channel so the campaign reads as one set, not twelve.

Composite the plate.

When the shot needs a world it didn't have, we build it: clean cut-out, matched light direction, contact shadows, color spill. The seam should be impossible to find — that's the whole job.

Same frame.
Two grades.

One capture, graded two ways. Drag the slider to morph between a cool editorial treatment and a warm film one — white balance, curve, grain and skin all swap live. The grade is a decision, not a default.

06 — System · a grade that travels

A grade that travels.

A retouch is a system too — grading presets, a locked palette, rules for what we touch and what we leave. The jar below is real: drag any chip to read its definition.

Do Keep skin texture.
Frequency-separate, never blur the pores.
Don't Plastic the face.
Smoothing the skin to wax reads as fake.
Do Match the light.
In a composite, every shadow obeys one source.
Don't Over-grade.
Crushed blacks and clipped skin can't be undone.

No mystique. The apps we actually open every week to develop, retouch, grade, and ship. If a tool isn't listed, we don't pretend to be fluent in it.

A single hero, a full e-comm catalog, or a campaign composite with a grade recipe to keep it consistent. Tell us the look the image has to land — we'll send a test edit and a plan, not a pitch deck.
